About Designer
On The Rocks - Sconce Designer: Sherry Williamson Sherry Williamson, a classically trained architect, specializes in residential interiors, furniture and lighting design. After working for distinguished architectural firms on both coasts, she established her interior design firm in Mill Valley, California in 1994. Custom lighting has always been integral to her work, and adds a level of refinement and continuity to her projects. Sherry Williamson has worked with Venturi Scott Brown in Philadelphia, Esherick Homsey Dodge & Davis in San Francisco, and HOK in St. Louis. She also collaborates with Brayton Hughes Design Studios in San Francisco. Past projects include hospitality, institutional, and commercial interiors. She finds design inspiration through her passion for art, including plein air drawing, sculpture and ceramics. In 2010, her On The Rocks sconce won Interior Design Magazine's Best of Year Award for lighting. Williamson holds a Master of Architecture degree from Yale University and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture and French from Washington University in St Louis. She studied design at the Ecole d'Architecture in Strasbourg, France.
