Product details
CAMBO is the new design pendant lamp resulting from the collaboration with the cenlitrosmetrocadrado studio. The word Cambo (of Galician origin) refers to a wooden piece with a hook at one end, a handcrafted element present in the Galician tradition. With nature and our environment as inspiration, cenlitrosmetrocadrado has designed the Cambo system based on the natural growth of plants, the branching and bifurcation of trees. Ricardo Tubío and Xabier Rilo’s vision of the natural environment has given rise to a modular system that allows different designs to be configured with the same elements.
Cambo is made of a beech wood structure with a water-based varnish that allows the material to be shown in its most natural form. With this peculiar structure, the painted stainless steel mesh is introduced into the lampshade which houses the integrated LED light source.

About Designer
cenlitrosmetrocadrado
cenlitrosmetrocadrado is a Galician design and communication studio made up of designers Ricardo Tubío and Xabier Rilo. The studio was founded in 2006 with the intention of offering a design with a clear humanist orientation, which goes beyond the simple practical function and also addresses functions of an emotional and social nature. With a marked Atlantic identity, it develops projects ranging from product design, graphics and spatial design. The transversality, the relationship with the territory and the use of design as a strategic tool beyond the formal are, without a doubt, the most differentiating features.
The studio has been awarded various prizes and recognitions both in graphics and in the industrial field of product and space design. Some of the most relevant are the Laus de Plata 2016, Best Industrial Design Award at the Paraguas Awards 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021, third prize at the International Bolia Design Awards 2019, Longlist at the Dezeen Awards, Innovation and Design Award 2020 of the Xunta de Galicia and mention at the BID20 Awards of the Ibero-American Design Biennial.
