The Giro hanging lamp is available in white and dark grey and in two sizes. Its very original and modern shape make it suitable for young and contemporary settings.
Thanks to its size it can be installed in large environments and with different styles, the lamp gives character to the environments where it is located. Moreover, the light source can be installed in any of the rings with the correct size, allowing to direct the light output where necessary.

The purpose of lamps installed in vast spaces is to define the space around them. This is the main idea for the design by the Formfjord studio. The aim of the designers was to create a lamp which was sufficiently large, yet at the same time open, lightweight and airy. The solution was found in the simplicity and delicacy of thin steel rings, and their graphic shape, which attracted the attention of the designers who made these characteristics the main elements of this project, creating pendant lights which are sophisticated, lightweight sculptured objects.
The collection consists of hanging lamps for indoor use, available in two sizes, both made up of 32 rings of varying diameter that are joined together to form a spherical shape. There are also two available finishes: polished white or anthracite grey. The choice of light source inside the metallic structure depends on personal tastes and needs. The lamp runs on mains power and is suitable for use with LED bulbs.
The lamp is delivered in a small, regular rectangular box, making it very efficient from a logistic point of view. It can be easily installed at destination.

Formfjord
The Berlin-based design studio Formfjord was founded by Fabian Baumann and Sönke Hoof in 2006. Fabian has studied Mechanical Engineering at TU-Berlin and Industrial Design Engineering at TU-Delft - Netherlands.
Sönke has studied Product-Design at Kunsthochschule Berlin and at École de Design Nantes - France after his apprenticeship as an upholsterer. Today he teaches as a professor at the University of applied science in Hannover.
