The Stick cylinder pendant lamp is available with diffuser in two sizes and uses natural wood. Its particular finish makes it suitable for ecological and modern environments. In the home, it is ideal in the kitchen and the living room or in the office in the entrance area. The bulb can be halogen or LED.

Stick stems from an Ayous wood module, the shape of which is inspired by that of a pair of pliers: two bent elements stretched apart by a central support. “This detail – explains French designer, Matali Crasset, is the vocabulary that gives life to a lamp collection based on its repetition. While the texture of the wood allows the diffusion of a soft, warm light, the repetition of the module creates an graphic pattern and unexpected shadows. Modules made in a flexible material are joined together and “tamed” to surround the light source. The light produced is veiled by the smoothness of the wood.
The collection is made up of pendant lamps, one table lamp, various floor lamps and one wall lamp, all for indoor use. The light is diffused through an ornate weave of slats in Ayous, a light-coloured wood found in Africa, while the stem of the floor lamps is in Toulipier, a light-coloured wood from North America. The structure of all the lamp models is in painted metal. The lamp runs on mains power and is suitable for use with fluorescent and LED bulbs.

About Designer
Matali Crasset is a French industrial designer. In the Nineties, she worked as an apprentice for two outstanding masters of design: Philippe Starck in France and Denis Santachiara in Italy.Matali Crasset is a French industrial designer. In 1998, in the Paris quarter of Belleville, she set up her company: Matali Crasset Productions. Matali Crasset creates her designs by observing the world with constantly new eyes, calling into question pre-established codes in order to surpass them.
Her continuing research prompts her to cooperate in many different directions – with private individuals seeking a new home context, large industrial concerns wishing to innovate, hotels in search of a new concept (including the multimedia Hi Matic of Paris and the spectacular Dar Hi in Tunisia), and museums wanting a face lift (SM’s at s’Hertogenbosch in the Netherlands).
Her proposals are not restricted to improving what already exists. They formulate new logics that rotate around modularity and interlinking concepts.
