Reproduction of antique model. Italian Padua Chair, Circa 1745. Hand made and patined leather Original : Private collection, Chinon, France. A noticeably flowing model, this chair presents a back whose fretwork is inscribed very elegantly in the space. The high back has delicate moulding and some fine carving, reminiscent of the first three decades of the century. One should also note the agreeable difference between the front and back legs connected by a strut. The removable seat frame allows for practical use.
