Franco Zavarise was born in Mareeba, Australia, in 1960. With a background in technical studies, he soon discovered his passion for designing lighting fixtures, initially crafting them for his closest friends. This passion grew into a vision, leading him to establish ZAVA in 1982—a company that blends traditional craftsmanship with innovation. Over the years, ZAVA has become a dynamic and ever-expanding reality in the world of lighting design. Franco strongly believes that good design should not only be aesthetically striking but also accessible and sustainable, ensuring a balance between functionality and artistic expression.
