Arturo Álvarez
He is one of the founders and the core engine of the company bearing his name. Along his career he has been able to bring together hundreds of persons. The Bety model is placed in the Museum of Decorative Arts in Barcelona. In 2008 he won the prestigious "Good Design" award for the design Gea and, in 2009, for Fluo.
Methacrylate with glass
Both materials have a wide range of commercial and industrial applications. Arturo Álvarez uses the frame, in methacrylate to adhere opalescent glass, making easier to enhance the beauty of glass and to avoid the use of solder so to introduce more conceptual and contemporary designs. From this idea VENTO was born and it has never stopped to win lots of hearts around the world. NORMAN and NIM are simple and elegant creations as well. All of them sneaked into homes and commercial work equally.
He expels, simplifies and gets even closer to a contemporary style
with glass sticked to methacrylate.
Stainless steel
The external metallic supports of the lamps of arturo alvarez are AISI 304 stainless steel. Because of its special alloy, it is a high quality steel with excellent resistance to rust. It has a good elastic capability and it is very hard to break. This material is also recyclable.
