Über den Designer
Exnovo Medusa E40 Hanging lamp.
Inspired by the underwater world, Medusa reflects the ethereal lightness and elegance of marine life. The blend of transparent resin and white polyamide, allows the light to fluctuate between different textural elements, playing with the ever-changing reflections and refractions.
Design by Andrea Negri.
Andrea Negri was born in Genoa in 1966. He obtained his Artistic High School graduation qualification in 1984 and later attended courses at the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa. In 1990/91 Andrea designed and implemented some of the theater decorations in Milan. In the following years he participated in various group exhibitions both in Liguria and in Milan, such as Arte Fiera in Genoa. In 1995 he began collaboration with the 2F video production and audio-video post-production studio. In 1999 Andrea created DAN design studio specialized in own lighting design and construction (unique pieces or limited edition), as well as lighting equipment design for manufacturers. From 2004 to 2008, he collaborated with Architectural Design Studios and the art gallery Artrè (Genoa). Also in 2004 he started working with CORIGRAF (advertisements archive of Genoa) taking part in designing numerous museum exhibitions and fairs of various kinds throughout the Liguria region. In the years from 2004 to 2013 he collaborated with a number of lighting companies for the design of lamps. In 2012 he started working with .exnovo.
