Papier is designed around curves - soft curves that create unities. The lamps in the collection are created from the same starting point, a number of shapes have been repeated, distorted and refined until they have reached the right expression and style.
The properties of rice paper are amazing, the way in which the paper can distribute the light and create mood simply by means of structure and translucency is difficult to imitate. Rice paper has many unique qualities - it contributes with lightness, elegance and tactility and the lamps appear as almost floating sculptures.
