This piece designed by Mario Botta for Morelato is an exclusive chair- sculpture, characterized by a distinctive style. Chaise, made of birch plywood veneered in maple, has a joint assembly with practical removable cushions applied to the seat and back, available in different fabric varieties and colors.
Armchair made of birch plywood with maple veneer, assembled by comb joints. Seat and back upholstered. Project donated to the Aldo Morelato Foundation on occasion of the 10th edition of the ""Significant furniture"" competition.

About Designer
Mario Botta
Born in Verona in 1967 where he lives and works. After studying architecture, he concentrated his research on visual arts, alternating his activity as an artist with his theoretical one. He has exhibited his works in numerous exhibitions both in Italy and abroad including: the Italian Cultural Institute in Prague in 2009, the MAXXI in Rome in 2009, the SUPEC in Shanghai for the 2010 Expo and at the Biennials of ‘Art of Venice in 2011 and 2013. In 2009 he won the Terna Prize for contemporary art.
