The AIR suspension light, conceived by Adam Tihany, combines a love of design with a solid ecological ethos. Featuring intricate laser cuts, a double emission light (in the large version) and a warm, inviting glow, you wouldn’t guess that this light is made of GREEN CAST®. This is a 100% recycled and recyclable acrylic material produced with the utmost respect for primary resources, involving a significantly reduced amount of raw materials, and the re-use of what is considered waste.

With AIR, Contardi makes a pledge to become an even greener company in the future, with a promise to drastically cut the waste of materials and damage to the Earth. We want our lamps to have a great impact on the world of design, and the smallest possible environmental footprint.

Air is available in small and large versions.

Adam Tihany

dam D. Tihany brings 35 years of design experience in international luxury hospitality, cruise ship and residential interiors, including iconic establishments around the world, such as The Beverly Hills Hotel, The Breakers Palm Beach and Hotel Cipriani to name a few. Thomas Keller, Heston Blumenthal and Daniel Boulud are among the many celebrity chefs for which Tihany has created flagships restaurants. He is a leading name in the cruise industry, having created innovative design concepts for ultra-luxury vessels, and he is currently serving as Creative Director to Italy’s Costa Cruises and the iconic British cruise line Cunard. With the launch of Tihany Product Design, the focus has expanded to the residential market, where the firm has licensed product lines with several top brands in the luxury home sector. His body of work showcases a profoundly diverse, yet fluid design range with products and interior spaces that exude a timeless elegance.
