Origata is an ancient Japanese word for the art of paper folding and binding for precious gifts. Though a word with almost 600 years of history, ‘origata’ has long been lost and is just now being brought back to the attention of aficionados of ancient crafts and skills. The CG Origata honours the tradition of high skill and craftmanship in the fabulous forged iron folded supports that form its base, and are visible from all angles thanks to the oval glass tabletop.
