For chandeliers above dining tables, target a diameter around ½–⅔ of table width and hang the lowest point 28–33 in above the tabletop. For pendants over islands, keep 30–36 in above the counter and maintain sightlines. Corridor and stair headroom should be ≥ 84 in.
