The Patchwork collection designed by Maurizio Duranti for Morelato is intended as a collection able to express the concept of modern furniture but at the same time remaining in the field of skillful cabinet making. In the Patchwork Collection, small pieces of wood are used in the same way in which offcuts and scraps of wool and fabrics are used to make fabric and blankets. In cabinet making Patchwork stands for the use of small pieces of different wood kinds, which exalt each other in elegant combinations. Duranti has used this technique to create drawers, doors, cabinet doors, flaps and unpredictable openings, which Morelato turned into unique pieces of sideboards, tables, coffee tables and bookcases that will be highlights in different home styles and cultures.
Double face bookcase with fixed shelves made of wengè wood: 5 container elements with veneered doors in essences of Makassar ebony, walnut, maple, cherry and padouk.
