Based on a Swedish design, this lantern is festooned with 18th century motifs, from the sculptural bows and ribbons around the frame to the Greek key band at the base.
The Drottningholm Lantern has a hand-fabricated frame which is made from solid cast brass, with beautifully cast decorative details. The bow decoration and swirling leaf design at the crown are handcrafted. The Greek key band at the base complements the ornately decorated crown.
