About Designer
Jurgen Laub was born in Ulm in 1964, Markus Jehs in Stuttgart in 1965. Both of them hold diplomas of industrial design, awarded by the FHfG Schwabisch Gmund in 1992. Two years later they set up their jehs+laub studio. They are noted for their projects in the ambit of lamps, furniture and seating for companies of the sector: Fambuena, Cassina, Fritz Hansen, Thonet, Belux and Nemo. 1996 begin of co-operation with NEMO and YCAMI First Lamps Constellation, Corona, Jupiter, Leo, Lupus, Lynx, Vega, Venus for NEMO und first furniture Comò, Juliet, Romeo, Verona, Spice, Starfish, Xtra for YCAMI, designed for the Salone del Mobile in Milan. 2000 begin of co-operation with THONET THONET shows the chair S550, Armchair S555, Sofa 4000 at the Orgatec and the IMM in Cologne. 2002 begin of co-operation with CASSINA Introduction of the collections Blox und Big Blox by CASSINA at the furniture fairs Cologne and Milan. 2004 begin of co-operation with ACERBIS, BELUX and RENZ ACERBIS shows the chair Seltz at the Salone del Mobile.
