The GEM end table and its cushion-shaped top is composed of two different materials: wood and metal. The top was designed to simulate a floating sensation, providing lightness and the illusion of more space. It has a visible and internal wooden structure that goes from top to bottom along with a square metal base. Besides generating an aesthetic sense, this structure guarantees the stability of the piece. The wooden base has a square shape with rounded corners to complement the shape of the top. There is a meeting of radial veneers in the wooden top that resembles the cuts of a diamond.
