Opera is a transparent glass mosaic known for its non-uniform distribution of color ‒ tesserae saturated with color are randomly mixed with semi-transparent or partially transparent ones to create a varied, one-of-a-kind surface. The iridescent effect found in the gloss version is achieved by spraying a chemical product on the incandescent glass tesserae that, reacting to the heat, develops this very sophisticated, elegant effect.
