The Disegno collection was created for the purpose of illustrating the many ways that the ancient art of glass blowing can be utilized in truly modern ways. Each piece is the result of a successful collaboration with a very selected group of important Italian and international designers. Each artist uniquely expresses their own ideas and skills and thus, an eclectic and varied collection of light pieces is born.The beauty of glass inspires genuine creativity for our designers and awakens their emotions, enabling them to arrive at innovative yet purposeful art pieces, which accommodate a myriad of commercial and residential projects.
Design: Sandro Santantonio
Born in Lecce 30 years ago, Sandro Santantonio graduated from l'Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera and immediately began important collaborations with designers such as Roberto Semprini, Gugliemo Berchicci and Prospero Rasulo. Shortly after this time, Santantonio generated direct collaborations with important agency leaders in furniture, lighting, home objects and fashion accessories.
We remember between all of the collaborations he did, the Giov collection, for which he did a lot of multi-prize winning projects and Casa Man (from the group dove), La Murrina for whom he designed the Zoe lamp and then followed with the new Oyster collection in occasion of Euroluce 2007. United Pets objects for house pets.
He designs also for SDoftline All Kit objects made in plastic, Gruppo Fiat for who he manages the branding image, and many more.
In 2004, Santantonio started his own company, S S Design with a new vision in design, and quickly thereafter, he gained an expansive clientele due to his companies diverse talents. He is often awarded with many industry awards such as Young & Design for four times, 1st prize is Abitare il Mare. He also received impressive publicity in national and international pubs such as
The most important of Santantonio's reportoire were those selected by Pitti and Prada for events and fashion shows. Design has been and will always be a medium of seduction and as the best arts, this will be executed with devotion and knowledge.
