Contardi / Pendants & Suspension Lights / Discus so
Product details
Born from the research conducted by the MKV Design Studio, Discus is offered in three variants of different sizes: suspension, applique and ceiling.
This product range boasts a minimalist look, with a decisive and dynamic graphic line where light, shape and decoration frame the space in an evocative and contemporary way.
Two metal discs, which can be white or black, enclose the illuminating source in an interlocking game. The white opal diffuser in the middle is framed by a semi-polished brass band that gives a touch of luxury to the design. The particular shape of the structure, which in the wall version has a 120°rotating arm, allows the light to spread uniformly over the entire surface – this makes the product ideal for any location and use, in both residential and high-end hospitality contexts.

About Designer
MKV Design
The founder of MKV Design, Maria Vafiadis is an established thought-leader within the interior design world, an opinion former and a regular commentator on industry issues. Maria’s body of work over two decades demonstrates a true versatility: every project is a one-off, reflecting her constant quest for new ideas and approaches. She is as confident in re-imagining large spaces and making them work harder, something much in evidence in her design for the Kempinski Budapest, as she is in creating intimate and theatrical interiors such as at Style Hotel in Vienna. Maria’s range of vision comes from an instinct for luxury design and the creative insight to draw ideas from diverse sources, whether an object that tells a story, or the energy of an entire city.
