Louis XV Dubugrar Cabriolet circa 1765.With all its mouldings and curves, this fine chair, a work by the master cabinet-maker Dubugrar, has all the sobriety required at the end of the Louis XV style and is thus suited to many different types of decor. The French inspired style has a slight hint of Scandinavian taste. The wide seat and the back en cabriolet make it very comfortable but not at all heavy.
Its late Louis XV style gives it a restrained, unobtrusive elegance. Louis XV Style The French style period from approximately 1730 to 1770, although this king was on the throne from 1715 (the Regence period ran from 1715 to 1723) until 1774. Inspiration taken from plants, hence a curvilinear style.
